If you'd like to make multiple batches at once, I recommend placing a small bowl on the counter for each packet you'd like to make (say 5 packets, so put out 5 bowls). Then make the recipe below into each bowl, then just store in ziplock baggies in your pantry.
Feel free to increase or decrease the chili seasoning and red pepper to taste. Mine is a mild seasoning level.
Sloppy Joe Seasoning
makes 1 packet
Ingredients:
Mix together & store in a ziplock bag
2 Tblsp. minced onion
1 tsp. (or 1 cube) beef bouillon
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. each: salt, pepper, garlic granules (or powder)
dash of crushed red pepper seasoning
2 Tblsp. corn starch (or corn meal)
To Make Sloppy Joes:
1 lb. ground hamburger cooked, crumbled, and drained or grab a bag of your precooked hamburger master mix from the freezer
1 seasoning packet
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup water.
Cook hamburger and drain grease. Then stir in remaining ingredients and simmer till heated through. Serve on buns.
