I like to make 2 of them, one regular one, and one with either an added fruit layer such as strawberry apple or cherry along with the cream cheese layer.
I first posted this recipe way back in 2012 when I hadn't been blogging very long. I had come across this recipe many many years ago in a local community cookbook, and it was called Williamsburg bread. Willamsburg Virginia is just nearby, and has preserved it's colonial heritage that you can walk through and enjoy along with it's proximity to Jamestown, it's a fun place to visit. I don't know if the recipe came from there or just got renamed that in the cookbook but any time I can make a giant cheese danish and it sounds fancy.. I'm in!
I decided to repost it again, as a brand new, fresh post, because, well I took new photos, and can we really have danish too many times?
