Master Mix: Baking Quick Mix (BisQuick Style Mix)
This is such a versatile mix! Biscuits, pancakes, breads, and more can all be made from just this one mix. It is cheaper to make your own than buy the store bought brands and you know what the ingredients are!
I'll post the Master Mix recipe and then share a link to print off the directions for using it for a few things like biscuits and pancakes!

Master Quick Mix
Ingredients:
8 1/2 cups all purpose flour (can substitute half of it as whole wheat or whole white wheat if you desire)
4 Tablespoons baking powder
1 Tablespoon salt
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups instant dry milk powder or dry buttermilk powder
2 1/4 cups vegetable shortening
Directions:
In a large bowl, stir all the dry ingredients together, blending well. With a pastry cutter or heavy duty style mixer (Kitchen Aid) cut in the shortening until the mixture resembles cornmeal in texture. Store in air tight container. Label and date container. Use with in 10=12 weeks or store in refrigerator or freezer to keep it longer. Makes approx. 13 cups of mix.
