A few weeks ago I shared with you my initial experience purchasing the new Fresh Step® Lightweight Extreme Cat Litter, available at Target
. We have been using it for going on my second week now and I will be honest I am pretty shocked by the results!
I went into this process mostly to see if the 30% lighter Cat Litter would be easier on my lower back when I lifted, carried, and poured it. I have been diagnosed fairly recently with a degenerative condition in my lower spine, and this new litter definitely does a great job of keeping my back from overexerting, and I love it for that reason.
But an I tell you the two things that surprised me the most?
1) The amazing odor control! I had no idea how much better things could be around here!
2) The decrease in cat litter being tracked all through the house as the cats exit the litter boxes.
My previous cat litter was an organic natural based product that I was quite happy with. I thought the odor control was really good, but it is nothing in comparison to the fantastic odor control I have now! Also, I did have alot of sweeping to do everyday as my old product was leaving a alot of litter all over my hardwood floors, but with it's clumping technology, I have found it reduces the amount of loose litter being tracked out of the box.
In all honesty, I fully expected to give the new Fresh Step® Lightweight Extreme Cat litter a nice try and then switch back... Wrong! I will be staying with this wonderful product, they truly have a new convert!
