CrockPot Philly Cheese Steaks



Turning a humble package of beef stew meat into these yummy Philly Cheese Steaks are made super quick and easy with the help of your slow cooker.

This family favorite is not only delicious, but so easy to get the meal started in the crock pot before I dash out the door in the morning, and believe me the smell when you hit the door at the end of a long day and know that dinner is ready? Priceless!

Lets' get you started.

Crock Pot Philly Cheese Steaks

Ingredients:

1 - 1 1/2 lb. package beef stew meat
1 medium onion sliced
1 bell pepper sliced
1 1/2 Tablespoons of Steak Seasoning (I used Weber brand: Chicago Steak)
1/4 cup water.
1 cup shredded mozarella or provolone cheese set aside till serving.
4-6 Sub Rolls slice open lengthwise

Directions:

Place meat into crock pot
Pour water over meat.
Sprinkle steak seasoning over meat.
Layer onions and peppers on top of meat.
Place lid on slow cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.

To serve:
If any remaing liquid in crockpot, drain most of it out.
Lightly shred meat with a fork. (I do leave a few chunks though)
Reserving remaining 1/4 cup cheese for topping subs
Mix in 3/4 cup shredded cheese with meat mixture.
Place 1/4- 1/3 cups meat mixture on each sub and top with remaining cheese.
Serve warm.
