Recipe 1: Leftover Spaghetti and Meat Sauce Sloppy Joe's
Ingredients:
- 2 cups prepared spaghetti meat sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 1/4 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tablespoon packed brown sugar
- Pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns split open (toast under broiler optional)
Directions:
- In saucepan over medium heat, reheat spaghetti sauce. If sauce is too "liquidy" let sauce reduce to desired thickness, stirring frequently, for a few minutes.
- Stir in vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and pepper.
- Spoon mixture onto hamburger buns and serve.
Recipe 2: jar of pasta sauce and fresh ground hamburger Sloppy Joe's
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 1/4 pound ground beef
- 2 cups prepared pasta sauce
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
- pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns,split open ( toast under broiler optional)
Directions:
- In large skillet over medium heat, add oil, onion and bell pepper.
- Cook stirring occasionally 5 minutes till they begin to soften. Add garlic, stirring additional minute.
- Add ground beef and cook, crumbling till cooked though. drain any drippings
- Add pasta sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and pepper. stir to combine.
- Bring to a simmer, then lower temperature to low and cook till thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Spoon onto hamburger buns.
